Men are morons. I’m a man so I’m not only allowed to say that but I also know what I’m talking about. Men complicate and mess up their own lives by letting their pride and stubbornness get in the way of the best possible relationship they can have with their women. Of course that’s not the case with all men, but dare I say a large proportion of the penis-dangling population falls into that category.

Someone said that women are complicated or complex creatures. What a load of crap. That comment was clearly made by a man who was either too dumb to understand them or more likely couldn’t be bothered giving it a real try. Women are not that hard to figure out. Other than an unnatural love for shoes and sometimes saying the opposite to what they are thinking, women are not that complicated.

Most of them just want to be appreciated and loved. That’s it really. Sure, you can add having to feel sexy and being passionate about them to the list, as well as sometimes needing to be reassured about their bodies and being considered an equal which hasn’t always been the case in society. But all that flows on from my initial point. They want you to appreciate them. For you to tell them you love them for the great job they’re doing with the kids, with the house, at their work, raising your pet python. Whatever it may be. And you better mean it and not just say it.

I’m not claiming that women don’t have faults and they can definitely drive you up the wall at times to the point where you’d rather stay up there and not come down again. But that’s nothing compared to the shit some men pull on them. Things, that if they happened to your daughter, you would get your bat out of the garage and head over to her boyfriend for a quiet one-on-one.

I’m not perfect by any means. Far from it in fact. But at least I try to do something about it. Sometimes I’m successful, at other times I fail miserably and have to try again. But I keep doing it. I keep trying. I don’t retreat into my man cave to drink beer and brood over how evil my woman is and how she doesn’t respect me for all the things I do for her, which, let’s face, is probably still less than what she does for you. Get out of that cave, grab a bottle of wine and talk to your woman. It’s a lot more pleasant and stimulating and in the long run makes for a happier life than you by yourself in that dark, stinky cave…
